Celebrating 67 Years of Legacy: Ranchi University Blended Academia with the Vibrant Spirit of Jharkhand

Ranchi University marked its 67th Foundation Day with a three-day celebration that brought together academics, students, researchers and cultural enthusiasts on a common platform. The celebrations highlighted the university’s academic journey and achievements while giving special prominence to Jharkhand’s rich cultural identity. The campus came alive with a vibrant mix of educational, cultural and traditional activities, creating a memorable atmosphere for everyone involved.

A major highlight of the celebrations was traditional Sohrai painting, through which artists beautifully portrayed tribal life, the state’s deep connection with nature and its rich cultural heritage. The initiative reflected the university’s effort to create a meaningful connection between education and local traditions. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Saroj Sharma, NSS Programme Coordinator Dr Kishore Surin, university officials, teachers, researchers and students actively participated in the celebrations.

With a blend of academic activities, cultural performances and traditional art, the Foundation Day celebrations reflected Ranchi University’s continuing legacy while keeping Jharkhand’s cultural roots at the centre of the occasion. The three-day programme concluded with a series of cultural and academic activities, bringing the 67th Foundation Day celebrations to a vibrant close.
