Where Partnership Meets Purpose: CCL and Rotary Strengthen Mental Healthcare Through Project Manas

Rotary Club of Ranchi organised a gratitude ceremony at RINPAS to mark the success of Project Manas, a joint initiative of CCL and Rotary focused on strengthening mental healthcare and community wellbeing. The event highlighted the partnership between the two organisations under the theme ‘A Confluence of Trust and Service’, with speakers emphasising how collaborative efforts in public welfare can create a meaningful impact on society.
CCL General Manager (CSR) Siddharth Shankar said that creating a positive impact in society is an integral part of CCL’s work culture. He highlighted several ongoing social initiatives, including the Lal-Ladli programme, under which 20 students are supported every year for IIT preparation, annual assistance of ₹12 crore for Khelgaon, integrated development of nine villages, construction of a 50-bed shelter at Ranchi Sadar Hospital, meditation camps in rural areas and the provision of 10 dialysis machines for patients in need. General Manager (Finance) Sanjay Singh also highlighted the role of Rotary’s trusted service network in strengthening CCL’s social initiatives.
Rotary Club President Lalit Tripathi said the partnership with CCL continues to grow across education, healthcare, environmental conservation and community service. Through Project Manas, the organisations are working to create greater awareness around mental health while improving access to support and facilities. Project Chairman Gaurav Bagaroy described collective participation as the greatest strength of any service initiative, while former Governor Ajay Chhabra highlighted Rotary Foundation’s community initiatives and its contribution to the global polio eradication campaign.
