Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), in collaboration with Kalakriti School of Arts, organised the ‘Swachhta on Canvas’ painting competition in Doranda as part of Swachhta Pakhwada 2026. More than 180 students from 30 prominent schools across Ranchi participated in the creative initiative, transforming their ideas about cleanliness and environmental responsibility into vibrant works of art. Through themes including ‘Swachh Bharat, Harit Bharat’, ‘My Dream of a Clean India’, ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ and ‘Clean Roads, Healthy Lives’, the young participants delivered powerful messages of a cleaner and greener future.
CCL CSR Department Managers Pooja Prasad and Chandan Kumar appreciated the students’ creativity while viewing their artworks. They highlighted art as an effective medium for nurturing a sense of cleanliness and social responsibility among children. Kalakriti School of Arts Director and senior artist Dhananjay Kumar, along with faculty members, was also present and emphasised that such creative competitions help strengthen positive thinking and social awareness among young minds.
Prashant Rajwar, Vivaan Shaurya, Aryan Malakar and Bhumika Dutta won in their respective categories and were honoured with awards for their impressive performances. The winners were honoured with awards, while all participants received certificates and art materials. Through the initiative, CCL aimed to take the message of the Swachh Bharat campaign to a wider audience while encouraging young minds to develop a lasting commitment towards environmental protection, cleanliness and social responsibility.
