Renu Bala, a name synonymous with resilience and ambition, hails from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where she was born on August 15, 1975. Raised in a business-oriented family, she grew up witnessing the dedication and hard work required to build a successful enterprise. Her father, Late Sri Ram Babu Sah, owned an oil mill, where she actively contributed from a young age, assisting in procurement, production and sales. This early exposure laid the foundation for her sharp business acumen and unwavering determination.

Balancing her education with hands-on business experience, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mahant Darshan Das Mahila Mahavidyalaya. Her personal journey took a new turn in 1994 when she married Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, and together, they moved to Patna, where she spent the initial years of her married life. In 2000, her husband secured a position in the Jharkhand Government Press, leading them to relocate to Ranchi. This move not only expanded their horizons but also brought her closer to her parents, who later shifted in the same city, reinforcing their family bond. She is also a devoted mother to Aditya Kumar Gautam, who pursued his education in Logistics Engineering in Germany. Following his return to India, he joined the family business, furthering its legacy with a modern outlook.

A Multifaceted Entrepreneurial Journey

Renu Bala’s entrepreneurial spirit extends across multiple domains. In 2005, she collaborated with her father to establish Ram Raj Cold Storage, a venture aimed at enhancing agricultural storage solutions in Ranchi. The success of this initiative led to the launch of Adi Raj Cold Storage in 2015, further strengthening their impact in the sector. Both facilities, strategically located along Ring Road, serve as vital links in the region’s agricultural supply chain, supporting farmers and traders alike. Her hands-on involvement in these ventures, from planning to execution, showcases her sharp business instincts and ability to navigate the competitive market.

In addition to cold storage, she ventured into real estate, a field traditionally dominated by men. In 2006, she established Indraprastha Real Estate and Infrastructure Private Limited, where she held the role of Director. Under this banner, she successfully delivered two major projects, proving her mettle in an industry that demands precision, foresight, and perseverance.

Her most celebrated entrepreneurial milestone, however, came in 2016 when she identified a gap in Ranchi’s fitness industry. With a vision to introduce a premium wellness center, she co-founded Spartan Wellness Studio Private Limited, collaborating with seasoned trainers from Talwalkars Gym. This initiative quickly gained popularity, transforming the fitness journeys of over 1,000 individuals. Today, with a robust clientele of 200+ active members, the gym stands as a testament to her dedication to health and wellness. As the Director of Spartan Wellness Studio, she has ensured that it remains a state-of-the-art facility catering to diverse fitness needs.
